Single Malt Komagatake 1986 Aged 30 Years American White Oak Natural Cask Strength

 In 1985, Hombo Shuzo built the Mars Komagatake Distillery in Miyata Village, Nagano Prefecture, in search of the perfect environment for whisky production. The malt whisky distilled there, based on the ideas of Kiichiro Iwai, who designed the pot stills used at the distillery, has been maturing under the watchful eye of the magnificent nature at the foot of Mount Komagatake in the Central Alps. The “Single Malt Komagatake 1986 Aged 30 Years American White Oak Natural Cask Strength” is a rare 30-year-old single malt whisky made from four casks of malt whisky distilled in 1986 and aged in American white oak casks. This single malt whisky, which has accompanied the history of the Marushu Shinshu Distillery, has a rounded softness, a pleasant aftertaste that goes on forever, and a mellow flavor that gives you a sense of its 30-year history.
